06 - POV Pirate of the Caribbean

1.  My Reaction This ride is VERY different from the ones in Orlando and California. At first, I didn't think anything spectacular would happen because the beginning was very slow and there wasn't many animatronics but right when you see the visual effects that turn the skeleton into Jack Sparrow, everything started happening. It was a very immersive ride because of the 360 screen the riders come into as well as the scene where the explosion happened. Also, the Hong Kong ride was based on the most recent "Pirates" movie whereas the older rides are half based on history/ half based on the older movies. Overall, it looks like a great immersive experience and I'd love to experience it one day. 2. Connections Made The connections I made was that this ride is tied very closely to the most recent POTC movies. It was based mostly underwater with the half sea creature/ half human people and you see that throughout the whole piece. The combining of the 360 screen wit

05- Black Panther Theme Park

Wakanda Theme Park EPCOT but Black Panther style. Focused on the different clans that make up Wakanda.  Foods and traditions of each culture. Animals in each land that the clans are by. Different biomes for each clan. Everyone from their specific clan wears traditional dress and puts on parades around the park at specific times. "Weenie" will be the main mountain of rock/ hologram in the formation of a black panther. With each king that is in place, the rock formation will change to the animal of its tribe. Traits of the setting/place: Overall, African Savannah but each tribe section, different biomes for that tribe.  Underlying story: How the clans came together to create Wakanda and how they live in peace harmoniously.  Stories behind major attractions: Based on legends and myths of each tribe to create coasters and immersive rides. Values of the theme park: How the clans live in peace and work together to create a strong and friendly tribe.  Overall goals f

04 - Datura the Desert Planet

Image
Datura: Desert Planet Datura is a type of poisonous flower which blooms in the desert on Earth. It's fitting because this planet is all desert with many mountains and lakes of some sort of liquid (Not known yet.) The atmosphere on this planet is hazardous which is where it gets its name from. Physical Features: Dry desert planet, limited water, two moons, strong gravitational pull, many sandstorms and caves. This planet is habitable for only strong, water retaining creatures. One of the creatures I was thinking about would be an armadillo/ lizard hybrid.  There will be some sort of cacti and dry weeds. Caves and underground burrows would make good shelters for the animals.  Only the strong live.

03 - Potential Planet

Image
Planet Building Type of Planet: Carbon based life forms. Exoplanet in the goldilocks zone. Very much like Earth. Rocky/ desert planet? Realistic mountains and craters and river forms. Two moons? How will this affect gravity and water? *see Mars and Jupiter's active moons! Maybe can see some other planets in the horizon. Think of sky color but I think it would be the same as Earth. Think of seasons on the planet. All depends on the tilt of the planet.  Has very contrasting elements such as ice and magma? Elements to create life: Carbon Hydrogen Oxygen Phosphorous Sulfur Inspiration:  *not my photos, only used as reference.

01- Character Design

Character 01- The Beautiful Porcelain Doll Dominant trait: Vain Opposite trait: Insecure Complementary trait: Motherly figure Brief Description:In the porcelain town of Oz lives a beautiful mother with her equally as beautiful daughter. The mother is the most exquisite and detailed doll in the whole town yet is insecure that she isn't beautiful enough and is often too scared and shy to leave the house. Though she knows she's beautiful, she has inner conflict with herself. She also is a motherly figure and teaches her daughter that beauty isn't everything although she believes differently.   Something the character says to express the dominant trait: "Have you ever seen something as beautiful as me?" Something the character does to express the opposite trait:  Constantly asks if they look okay or is scared to go out or is shy without being made up first. Something the character wears to express the complementary trait: A huge handbag/ purse made up o
